Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communication, English, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field.
• 3+ years of public relations experience in a PR agency, law firm, professional services or other business setting.
• Excellent writing, organizational and project management skills.
• Knowledge of AP style.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of public relations activities aligned with the firm's PR strategy and brand.
• Assist in securing approval for lawyers to do media interviews per policy.
• Support PR team engagement with external PR agencies.
• Distill complex messages into press releases, pitches and message documents that are error-free and audience-appropriate.
• Identify opportunities to earn positive media coverage with original story/pitch ideas.
• Identify and secure opportunities for lawyers to publish byline articles through independent research and media outreach.
• Prepare reports on PR activity and monitor media coverage.
• Maintain data-led internal reporting to inform PR strategies.
• Handle administrative projects as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
