Outpost, a cutting-edge orbital logistics company in Los Angeles, seeks a Senior PR & Communications Manager to lead daily earned media and editorial work. You will translate complex space-tech updates into compelling stories, proactively pitch media, and guide messaging across external channels.

You will own the social function initially, coordinate with leadership, engineering, operations, and marketing, and support launches, demos, partnerships, and key company moments with strong

Qualifications

• 5+ years in PR/communications (in-house and/or agency).
• Experience in aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, robotics, or other deep-tech sectors.
• Strong media instincts for news angles and journalist relationships.
• Excellent writing/editing across press releases, talking points, web copy, exec voice.
• Ability to translate engineering-led, hard-tech programs into clear narratives.
• Strong judgment under pressure for fast-moving, sensitive situations.
• Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities and drive projects to completion.
• Collaborative style across engineering, ops, leadership, and marketing.

Responsibilities

• Own earned media execution: build and run a proactive media pipeline (pitching, follow-ups, briefing docs, interview prep, coverage tracking).
• Develop Outpost narratives: refine and maintain core messaging, boilerplate, FAQs, and proof points for customers, investors, and government/defense stakeholders.
• Create high-impact comms assets: press releases, statements, bylines, talking points, media kits, website copy, and Outpost explanation scripts.
