Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI is seeking a senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead and support the development, installation, and continuous improvement of round part and crankshaft machining systems for powertrain programs.

You will oversee machining strategies, GD&T, process design, supplier coordination, and cross-functional teams across North American engine plants; travel up to 50%, hybrid onsite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years in Manufacturing Engineering or plant operations.
• Project, program, and team leadership experience; cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite installation, launch, and implementation of machining components and systems.
• Develop and maintain machining strategies, Bills of Process, standards and related engineering specs.
• Provide machining process expertise: GD&T, blueprint reading, tolerance stack-up, heat treat feasibility.
• Interface with Product Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
• Lead APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement activities.
• Assign resources and manage program launches across North American engine plants.
