Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) seeks a Senior Application Sales Engineer for Power Transformers in a fully remote US role.

You will partner with regional sales teams, MELCO, and EPCs to secure new opportunities, develop relationships nationwide, and deliver technical demonstrations of MEPPI capabilities. You will lead proposals, pricing discussions, and customer negotiations, leveraging market insights to craft compelling solutions that meet complex substation and transformer

Qualifications

• 6–9 years of technical sales experience in electrical equipment, power transformers, substation equipment, or related utility products.
• Proven success building customer relationships and supporting complex technical sales pursuits.
• Knowledge of power transformers, substation equipment, and electric utility infrastructure.
• Strong proposal development and technical sales capabilities.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with regional sales managers to identify and secure new business opportunities.
• Develop relationships with customers, consultants, and EPC organizations nationwide.
• Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals in response to RFQs.
• Support proposal strategy, pricing development, contract negotiations, and customer discussions.
• Research market pricing and competitive trends to inform strategies.
• Define technical solutions aligning customer requirements with product offerings.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to create customized solutions.
• Interface with MELCO overseas marketing and third-party suppliers to align needs.
• Support other sales engineers with technical guidance.
• Maintain technical sales information and bid documentation.
• Develop customer presentations and technical marketing materials.
• Identify opportunities to enhance competitive position.
• Help expand market share by positioning products as preferred solutions.
