Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or Physics from ABET accredited curriculum; electrical engineering preferred.
• 5+ years with nationally recognized certification, 7+ years without certification.
• Experience with multiple power system transmission analysis tools such as PSSE, TARA, EMS, ASPEN, CAPE, PROMOD, PLEXOS, PowerWorld, PSCAD or similar software.
• EIT/FE registration preferred; PE registration preferred.
• Graduate degree in related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads and performs modeling and analysis for steady state and stability simulations.
• Develops study scopes for long-range transmission plans; coordinates with subdisciplines.
• Communicates study results to diverse audiences in written and verbal form.
• Improves planning procedures; resolves technical and business problems.
• Ensures compliance activities as SME; coordinates with internal/external entities.
• Mentors engineers, interns, and technicians; provides training materials.
