Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) is seeking a Systems Studies Engineer III to independently perform and lead power systems engineering studies across electromagnetic transients, load flow, short-circuit, and grid modernization.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in electrical engineering with emphasis on power engineering and minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced knowledge of electric power systems and equipment operation and control.
• Strong communication, presentation and technical writing skills.
• Ability to lead multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with listed power system modeling tools and programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct load flow, transient stability, and related studies with PSLF, PSS/E, DigSILENT, and other tools.
• Lead insulation coordination, harmonic, short-circuit, and grounding studies for T&D equipment.
• Perform studies on renewables, storage, relay and protection, and grid modernization applications.
• Manage projects with goals, budgets, schedules and resource assignments.
• Develop data-driven analysis and automate data monitoring and reporting.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
