Job summary

ERCOT in Taylor, TX is seeking a System Planning Engineer to join our on-site team. You will perform steady-state and dynamic contingency analyses, develop and validate power system models, and support planning for the Texas grid and wholesale market.

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering; Engineer 3 (3+ years) or Senior Engineer (5+ years). Experience with PSSE/TSAT/VSAT, PSCAD, Python; knowledge of NERC standards and EMS preferred. On-site 2 days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Engineer 3: minimum 3 years of progressive power system engineering experience.
• Senior Engineer: minimum 5 years of experience in power system engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform steady-state analyses and dynamic contingency analyses.
• Develop and validate power system models and reports.
• Support planning for the electrical grid and wholesale market.
• Mentor and collaborate with team members on complex studies.
