Job summary
ERCOT is seeking a Senior Engineer-level candidate to provide comprehensive electrical engineering analysis and technical support for Large Load stability assessments and interconnection reliability studies within the Texas power system. The role requires advanced modeling, study design, and clear communication of findings to ERCOT management and stakeholders.
The position is hybrid with on-site requirements in Taylor, TX, and remote work from within Texas.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in power system engineering or similar role preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform Batch stability screening studies for Large Load interconnection and transmission improvements using power system simulation tools.
- Design and perform stability assessments including PV analysis, angular and voltage stability, and short circuit analysis.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for ERCOT management, Market Participants, NERC, and other entities.
