Job summary

EPRI in Knoxville, TN seeks a senior Power Systems Simulation and Data Analyst to lead advanced analyses across projects. The role requires designing and implementing simulations, performing time- and frequency-domain studies, and providing technical leadership.

The ideal candidate holds a MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with Power Systems emphasis, strong coding skills (Python, MATLAB, C++), and the ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience required.
  • 10+ years of R&D project experience at a national lab, research institute, and/or utility.
  • Experience designing complex simulations across multiple platforms and post‑processing datasets.

Responsibilities

  • Perform power system analysis (time-domain and frequency-domain).
  • Design, implement, and test novel analytics and simulation capabilities.
  • Provide technical leadership across multiple projects and teams.
  • Manage medium-to-large projects including budgets and resources.
  • Communicate strategies and results to program members, clients and stakeholders.
