Job summary

HED is seeking an Electrical Engineer focused on power distribution and analysis to join our team. You'll perform voltage drop, short circuit, selective coordination and arc flash analysis for large projects, using SKM and related tools.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in EE, a P.E. license, 5+ years in the AEC industry with data center experience, strong communication, and mentoring skills in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent) required.
• PE licensure required.
• Minimum 5+ years in the AEC industry with data center electrical solutions experience.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork expected.
• Experience with budgeting, client relationships, and project quality focus preferred.
• Revit experience is a plus; SKM experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and documentation of complex electrical systems with power system analysis.
• Perform calculations and curate data for analysis software; coordinate results with system design.
• Resolve system conflicts through interdisciplinary collaboration with owners and teams.
• Serve as the primary electrical technical contact across project teams.
• Support preparation of technical specifications and reviews of submittals, RFIs, substitutions.
• Perform site visits, generate professional electrical field reports, and document findings.
• Support leadership from concept through construction administration; ensure documentation accuracy.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to project planning and standards development.
• Participate in internal/external meetings to discuss concepts, decisions, and trade-offs.
