Job summary

Blue Water Autonomy Inc. is seeking a Senior Power Systems Mechanical Engineer to lead design, development, and testing of naval power plants for autonomous ships.

You will develop robust fluid, mechanical and electrical subsystem architectures and validate them in harsh maritime environments. You will create 3D CAD models, run FMECA/FMEA analyses, and work closely with ship design, power electronics, and vendors to ensure producibility and on-time delivery of high‑reliability hardware for

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering discipline.
• Proven hardware delivery experience for complex integrated systems.
• Hands-on education and ability to read schematics and inspect hardware.

Responsibilities

• Design and test fluid, mechanical and electrical ship power systems.
• Create and execute development, acceptance and qualification test plans.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD of mechanical assemblies.
• Own feedback loops: capture issues, propose design changes, re-test.
• Support producibility: BOM rationalization and supplier engagement.
• Work with vendors to ensure on-time delivery of critical hardware.
