You will be responsible for conceptualizing, analyzing, and specifying the control and power architecture of complex systems and subsystems

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent technical field.
• 5+ years of detailed design experience in power conversion applications.
• Proficiency with MATLAB and Simulink for simulation of electrical systems.
• Model-based design experience of power electronic systems desired.
• Real-time modeling experience of power electronic systems desired.
• Experience with Navy applications and market trends in systems and electrical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications and requirements, and develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable.
• Conceptualize the architecture of complex systems and subsystems relating to power electronics, drives and uninterruptible power supplies.
• Create the system level technical documentation and budget estimates for proposals.
• Identify and develop strategies to retire key development risks.
• Verify product or subsystem performance through simulation, analysis, and/or laboratory test.
• Generate the necessary design requirements to specify components and subsystems of a product through the use of a requirements traceability matrix (RTM).
• Provide technical leadership on large projects, with the ability to identify and delegate tasks to an engineering team, and drive completion of activities on time and budget.
