Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior System Protection Engineer to lead and coordinate a multi-disciplinary team in the Power sector. You will manage design execution, ensure code compliance, and maintain client relations to deliver reliable power systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• 10+ years of experience in power market sector project execution.
• Licensure as a PE (or equivalent) recognized by the licensing board.
• Extensive experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector.
• Proficient with Office and standard Power Market Sector design software (PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, Revit).
• Active participant in our employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the work of design engineers with a multidiscipline team throughout the project.
• Establish client relations and participate in marketing, design, and production meetings.
• Assume technical lead within a project execution team.
• Participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance.
• Conduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions on site with the Project Manager.
• Coordinate workload to complete project deliverables on schedule.
• Support reviews with management as needed.
• Direct activities of other engineering professionals and mentor staff.
• Perform other duties as needed.
