HDR is a leading engineering and consulting firm focused on power infrastructure. We are seeking a Senior System Protection Engineer to coordinate design teams, manage client relations, and provide technical leadership on critical projects in our Power sector.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, 10+ years of experience, and a PE license. You’ll operate from primary locations including Phoenix and Tucson, with a comprehensive benefits package and employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 10+ years in power engineering.
• Professional Engineer license recognized by the licensing board.
• Extensive experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Power Market Sector design software (PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, Revit).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the work of design engineers with a multidiscipline team throughout the project development.
• Establish client relations and participate in marketing, design, and production meetings.
• Assume technical lead within a project execution team.
• Participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance.
• Conduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at the project site with the PM and other disciplines.
• Coordinate workload to complete project deliverables on schedule.
• Work with PM and Project Controller on project reviews with management.
• Direct activities of other engineering professionals and mentor staff.
