Job summary

QTS Realty Trust is seeking an experienced Utility Development Program Manager to lead the planning and execution of utility capacity across campuses. The role focuses on prepositioning capacity and delivering substations and power delivery to support data centers.

Responsibilities include strategy development, managing design/construction partners, budgeting and scheduling, and ensuring timely power delivery. Travel up to 50% is expected, with a strong emphasis on cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of medium/high voltage construction management.
• Experience running multiple projects concurrently.
• Familiarity with substation designers and transformer manufacturers.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement strategy to deliver power to development sites.
• Evaluate utility capacity feasibility for potential new sites.
• Manage partners and consultants for substation design and construction.
• Standardize substation design and distribution feeds.
• Manage budgets and forecasting for utility projects.
• Develop transformer and equipment specifications.
• Procure long-lead equipment and manage construction of sites.
• Track and report power delivery timelines.
