Job summary

Aviagen seeks a Software Developer to join our Software Development team. You will design, develop, and maintain business applications using Aviagen platforms, working with stakeholders to translate needs into solutions.

The role involves building workflows, Dataverse data models, and integrations across systems, plus contributing to security, governance, and deployment practices. This position requires 5+ years of experience and a strong foundation in Microsoft 365 tools and SQL/Dynamics.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree or equivalent practical experience in software field.
• 5+ years of experience developing business applications.
• Experience gathering requirements from stakeholders and translating them into functional applications and workflows.
• Experience designing data structures and working with relational or structured business data.
• Experience building workflow automation.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 services (SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Excel).
• Ability to troubleshoot application, workflow, data, and permissions-related issues.
• Strong understanding of usability, maintainability, security, and supportability.
• Ability to work independently and guide the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain business applications.
• Build user-friendly applications that support workflows, data collection, approvals, and business process improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into effective solutions.
• Develop workflows, approvals, notifications, and integrations between systems.
• Design and maintain Dataverse tables, forms, views, rules, and security roles.
• Integrate with other systems or services as applicable.
• Collaborate with software developers and data teams to integrate apps with databases, APIs, and reporting platforms.
• Help establish development standards, environment practices, and lifecycle processes.
• Support governance on security, access control, data management, and deployment practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, enhance, and support existing apps and workflows.
• Document designs, data structures, workflows, configurations, and procedures.
• Provide guidance to internal users as Aviagen expands its software usage.
