Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC's WECTEC Staffing Services seeks a Power Plant Operations Maintenance Technician III for a temporary contract in Wilmington, Delaware. You will perform operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, and repairs of plant equipment, reporting to the Plant Manager.

Opportunity to convert to full-time based on performance. Must have a High School Diploma or Vocational training, plus 4 years in power plant ops or pass EEI TECH Test and obtain TWIC within 6

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Vocational School education.
• Four (4) years of experience in power plant operations, power plant maintenance, industrial maintenance, military technical training, or an equivalent technical environment.
• OR completion of three (3) post-secondary accredited courses in electricity, electronics, instrumentation, or a related field that are acceptable to the company.
• Valid driver's license required.
• We must award the position only after you pass the EEI TECH Test.
• Must have or obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) within six (6) months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with maintenance, operation, troubleshooting, and repair of plant equipment and systems.
• Monitor equipment performance and operating conditions to ensure safe and efficient plant operation.
• Observe, record, evaluate, and maintain operational and maintenance data, logs, and reports.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, drawings, and operating procedures.
• Respond to emergency and non-routine operating conditions to maintain personnel safety and continuity of service.
• Participate in planned maintenance activities, inspections, and corrective repairs.
• May oversee the work of technicians, contractors, or personnel of similar or lower classifications.
• At the top progression level, you may require operating control room systems and overseeing contractor activities in the absence of management.
• Work rotating shifts, scheduled maintenance outages, overtime, weekends, holidays, and irregular hours to support plant operations.
