Job summary

Airswift seeks a Power Plant Operator (Outside) for a 9-month assignment in Gregory, Texas. The role involves operating steam production and related systems, coordinating with maintenance and engineering, and ensuring safe, compliant plant performance.

The successful candidate will perform high‑level operating tasks, troubleshoot complex conditions, and support system transitions and start-ups in a dynamic plant environment. A strong environmental and safety focus is required.

Qualifications

• Power plant experience (minimum 5 years) required.
• Advanced knowledge of plant systems including steam production, cooling systems, condensers, turbines, boilers, chemical processes, and auxiliary equipment.
• Ability to interpret operating data and chemistry logs to solve complex operational problems.
• Expertise in environmental compliance, safety programs, and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced operating tasks across plant and system operations.
• Diagnose abnormal plant conditions and take corrective action for safe, reliable performance.
• Execute major operating activities including start-ups, shutdowns, and high-risk operational adjustments.
• Complete rounds and chemistry sheets for routine monitoring.
• Support troubleshooting during plant performance issues and guide operational response.
• Ensure compliance with operating procedures, environmental requirements, and safety standards.
• Contribute to procedures, improvements, and system performance optimization.
• Represent operations in coordination with maintenance, engineering, vendors, and leadership.
