Job summary

Ohio's Electric Cooperatives seeks a Power Generation Plant Manager to direct two gas turbine plants in Convoy and Greenville, OH. You will lead operations, maintenance, and engineering to ensure safe, reliable, and economical production, while guiding budgeting, compliance, and stakeholder engagement.

You will develop long-range capital plans, supervise a large team, and drive continuous improvement across safety, operations, and public affairs in a dynamic energy environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management or other technical field (Chemistry, Environmental Services, Accounting).
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in power generation is preferred.
• Experience supervising others for at least ten (10) years.
• Strong oral and written communication skills across all levels of the organization and with external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, coordinates, directs, and controls plant operations, maintenance, and engineering for safe, efficient production.
• Supports the safety process and enforces safe work behaviors with training and PPE.
• Develops long-range plans (10 years) for maintenance, capital improvements, and organizational succession.
• Directs long-range planning including maintenance management, materials management, QA/QC, HR, accounting, and public relations.
• Develops short-range plans and budgets; prepares variance reports and controls expenditures.
• Directs plant business processes including accounting, procurement, HR, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintains strong relationships with officials and industrial leaders; informs stakeholders of actions and plans.
