Job summary

The SHCCF Supervisor of Maintenance reports to the Manager of Maintenance and ensures all maintenance activities follow Seminole Electric’s procedures. Based at the SHCCF site in Spring Hill, FL, you will guide corrective, preventive, and predictive tasks and coordinate with operations to meet plant performance goals.

Required are at least 5 years in maintenance at a combined cycle facility and supervisory experience preferred, with a background in combustion turbine power generation.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Associate degree or the equivalent technical training is preferred.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in a maintenance craft position at a combined cycle facility.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory role is preferred.
  • Combustion turbine-based power generation maintenance experience is preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and performs corrective maintenance, preventative maintenance, and predictive maintenance.
  • Ensures proper issuances of spare parts and equipment.
  • Provides a safe and productive work environment for team members congruent with Seminole’s desired culture and in full support of Seminole’s purpose, core values, core competencies and organizational goals.
  • Clearly communicates all maintenance related work to appropriate departments.
  • Determines and implements required employee training programs to ensure completion of all requirements.
  • Writes maintenance related procedures using technical manuals, drawings, vendor manuals, and any other applicable information.
  • Ensures and maintains equipment, tools, instruments, and work areas are clean and in an orderly condition.
  • Monitors work to ensure correct procedures are followed.
  • Works in conjunction with all departments to plan and implement an effective Preventive Maintenance Program.
  • Executes maintenance schedules and work assignments for SECI craft and contract employees.
  • Provides direct supervision and assistance during major work projects and outages.
  • Perform maintenance activities and assist technicians as required.
  • Review schedules, test reports, operation reports, equipment specifications, parts, and material inventories.
  • Determines work complexity and assigns personnel accordingly.
  • Develop techniques for improvement of work productivity, conditions, & reduction in costs.
  • Direct and support work under emergency situations.
  • Exchanges information with all departments and contractors on relevant equipment and systems.
  • Coordinates and seeks information pertaining to operation, maintenance, and repair of new or existing equipment with manufacturing representatives.
  • Takes a proactive approach regarding personnel safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory governance for the operation of the plant.
  • Complies with all OSHA and SECI safety regulations.
  • Ensures technicians complete all necessary online or classroom safety courses as directed.
  • Participates in safety briefings and meetings and reports all environmental reportable incidents.
  • On call availability in response to maintenance related issues.
  • Performs all duties as applicable to the position or as assigned.
  • <b>NERC Compliance</b>: Performs NERC Compliance Program roles if/as designated in Seminole's Standard Ownership Matrix (SOM) including ongoing evidence retention in "audit-ready" form. You should also be familiar with Seminole's Enterprise Internal Compliance Program (ENT-GCD-RGC-EP-054) to further your understanding of Seminole's compliance program and your duties and responsibilities in the SOM.
