Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance department’s daily operations, ensuring safe and efficient upkeep of plant equipment and instrumentation. You will plan, inspect, and coordinate maintenance activities, manage staff and contractors, and uphold company safety standards.

Preferred candidates have a technical degree, 3–5 years in power plant settings or military background, and 1–3 years of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree from a technical field or equivalent desirable.
• 3-5 years' experience in a power plant environment or military background.
• 1-3 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Knowledge of operation, maintenance and control of a steam generating power plant.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Experience using CMMS.
• Travel may be required (0-25%).
• Willingness to work nights during outages.
• Ability to supervise during major outages and PM programs.
• Assist Maintenance Manager with PM and maintenance planning.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assign, and supervise maintenance dept. during daily operations.
• Ensure compliance with operating and emergency procedures.
• Inspect plant equipment for safety and SOP adherence.
• Coordinate daily work with Operations on a shift basis and manage on-call communications.
• Ensure maintenance staff training and development.
• Oversee mechanical and E&I maintenance, including preventive, predictive, corrective, and contracted work.
• Prepare and schedule work orders for repairs and maintenance.
• Shortlist, train, and evaluate maintenance staff.
• Oversee outside contractors for safe maintenance and operation.
• Maintain plant maintenance records and CMMS data.
• Manage maintenance shop operations and inspect tooling and instruments.
• Maintain plant morale and cleanliness.
• Ensure safety, lockout/tagout compliance, and environmental standards.
• Investigate accidents or near misses with safety/compliance teams.
• Communicate clearly with staff and stakeholders.
• Identify recurring problems and address unsafe practices.
