Job summary

HDR is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Power Engineer to join the Missouri-based Power Generation team. You will lead a multidisciplinary group on utility, IPP, industrial, and municipal projects, delivering drawings, analyses, and specifications.

The role requires strong leadership, project management, and design skills, with occasional site visits and collaboration across disciplines. Full-time, on-site in Missouri with global impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; PE license preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in power/industrial/project engineering roles.
• Proficient in standard Power Market Sector design software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical engineering team and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Provide mechanical design support for detailed design and owner’s engineer projects.
• Travel to sites and conferences; travel typically <10%.
• Deliver construction drawings, specs, and cost estimates.
