Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Power Generation Availability Engineer to lead availability modeling across diverse power configurations for AWS data centers.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive design decisions, evaluate trade‑offs, and ensure safety, reliability, and sustainability targets are met. The role requires deep knowledge of power system availability, experience with large scale facilities, and the ability to influence stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• 6+ years in industrial or commercial engineering for mission critical facilities
• Experience with electrical systems in data centers and power generation
• Experience with availability modeling software and outage data

Responsibilities

• Develop availability models for power generation sources
• Support design of power generation configurations for data centers
• Interpret and develop SLDs, drawings, and specifications
• Provide feedback to design engineering and field teams
• Understand grid interconnection standards and microgrid design
• Lead cross‑functional projects across regions
