Job summary

Pacifico Energy is hiring a Civil and Structural Engineer to support power generation projects, including gas turbines with solar and BESS. You will coordinate civil and structural design activities, supervise EPC contractors, and manage geotechnical risks across development, construction, and commissioning.

Ideal candidates have 7–10 years in civil/structural engineering for large infrastructure, PE or EIT, and hands-on experience with BAS/GA engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in civil and structural engineering for power generation or large industrial projects.
• Experience supervising EPC contractors and engineering consultants.
• Working knowledge of civil site design, foundation and structural steel design for gas turbine facilities.
• Strong technical review, coordination, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise civil engineering design activities performed by EPC contractors or engineering consultants.
• Review civil design deliverables for constructability and integration with overall plant design.
• Ensure civil designs incorporate flood protection, stormwater management, erosion control, and site access.
• Support optimization of site layout, grading, and earthwork quantities to reduce construction cost, schedule, and risk.
• Coordinate structural interfaces with equipment vendors and other design disciplines.
• Verify structural designs comply with applicable codes (ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC 360).
• Participate in design reviews, value engineering and constructability assessments.
• Assist with civil/structural risk management and reporting.
