Job summary

PowerSecure seeks a Senior Assembly Technician for 1st shift to serve as the subject matter expert in power generation assembly. The role includes building complex mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies, referencing engineering drawings and BOMs, and guiding other technicians on wiring and assembly tasks.

The candidate will review designs for discrepancies, mentor peers, and lead small teams to achieve objectives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; combined education/experience considered.
• 1 year of manufacturing/field service/construction in energy sector preferred.
• Ability to read measuring devices to 1/16 inch.
• Proficient with basic hand tools.
• Troubleshooting skills required.
• Electrical experience preferred.
• Ability to read electrical schematics/drawings.
• Ability to wire across diverse equipment including power generation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble PowerGen from mechanical setup to final electrical wiring per drawings and BOMs.
• Assemble complex electrical and mechanical sub-assemblies per schematics and procedures.
• Read electrical drawings and land/label wiring across power panels.
• Mount genset on skid and fit components meeting torque requirements.
• Install exhaust parts with correct hardware and torque specs.
• Fabricate CAN harnesses, fuel lines, and hoses.
• Install load cables and conduit; assemble pumps, solenoids, and def systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and other departments; mentor new associates.
