Job summary

Murata seeks a Senior Power Engineer to lead technical marketing for next-generation AI data center power delivery from RDB/IBC through package delivery networks. You will translate customer needs into quantitative requirements and roadmaps, working with customers and internal teams to drive new R&D initiatives.

This hybrid role based in San Jose requires deep expertise in power electronics, PDN, and high-density packaging, with the ability to travel for customer engagements as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or closely related field.
• 5+ years in power electronics or server/data center power architectures.
• Strong understanding of DC-DC conversion and related architectures.
• Ability to translate customer needs into measurable technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze end-to-end AI server power delivery from rack to regulators.
• Translate customer needs into quantitative electrical/thermal specs.
• Identify system-level problems behind component specs.
• Drive design-in and co-development opportunities by aligning roadmaps with internal capabilities.
• Serve as technical interface among customers, sales, product divisions, and R&D.
