Job summary

Murata seeks a Senior Power Engineer to lead technical marketing for next-gen AI data center power delivery, from PDB/IBC through on-die networks. Hybrid work from San Jose, CA, with travel to engage customers and partners globally.

You will translate customer needs into quantitative requirements, roadmaps, and new R&D initiatives while collaborating across sales, product, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in power electronics and data center power architectures.
• Strong ability to translate customer needs into technical specs.
• Experience with DC-DC conversion and related architectures.
• Excellent communication and cross-site collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze end-to-end AI server power delivery from rack to on-die stages.
• Translate customer needs into measurable requirements and roadmaps.
• Identify system-level problems behind component specs.
• Develop joint-evaluation and co-development opportunities with customers.
• Interface with customers, sales, product, R&D, and partners.
• Monitor 800 VDC rack distribution and advanced cooling trends.
• Build relationships with universities, startups, and suppliers.
• Travel as required for engagements; support cross-functional initiatives.
