Job summary

SubCom is seeking a Senior Power Design Engineer to lead electrical design and development of high‑reliability power systems for undersea equipment. The role focuses on analog, digital, power, and high‑voltage circuit design with MCUs, FPGAs, and electro-optic components.

You will guide products from concept through qualification and production. The candidate should have extensive HV/power electronics experience, strong circuit design and simulation skills, and a track record of leading design

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
10+ years of electrical engineering experience.
Extensive high-voltage and power electronic system design experience.
Strong analog/digital circuit design, analysis, and simulation skills.
Experience passing environmental, safety, EMI, and EMC tests.
Knowledge of control loops and converters (DC/DC).
Experience in PCB design, PCBA, and manufacturing processes.
Experience guiding products from concept through production.
Hands-on lab testing and troubleshooting expertise.
Strong communication and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

Lead design, simulation, development, and verification of high-voltage and power circuits.
Develop reliable power architectures for undersea and terminal equipment.
Oversee DFMEA activities and design reviews.
Define firmware requirements and integrate firmware with assemblies.
Lead verification testing and manufacturing transfer.
Mentor engineers and collaborate with suppliers and PCB designers.
