Job summary

Miller Electric Mfg. LLC, Appleton, WI, seeks a Senior Power Electronics Engineer focused on hardware design and continuous improvement of welding and plasma cutting products. You will innovate across multi‑KW power supplies and mentor peers in a collaborative environment.

You should possess a strong background in power electronics, topology knowledge, and hands‑on lab skills to prototype and test new designs. This role requires leadership and a passion for engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with power electronics experience.
• Understanding of multiple power supply topologies and device selection.
• Experience with high‑speed/precision signals and mixed‑signal embedded hardware.
• Knowledge of PCBA manufacturing processes.
• Self‑starter with strong analytical/problem‑solving skills.
• Team player with leadership potential.

Responsibilities

• Lead innovation in Power Electronics to maintain leadership in welding power sources.
• Develop and maintain products generating tens of millions in revenue annually.
• Mentor and be mentored to join a world‑class engineering community.
• Actively submit patents to protect company IP.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, customer support and marketing.
• Build/modify circuits in a well‑equipped solder lab.
