Job summary

Global Connect Technologies in Wisconsin is seeking a power electronics engineer to design next-generation converters using SiC and GaN MOSFETs, develop high-frequency DC-DC and AC-DC solutions, and lead from concept to production.

You will collaborate with mechanical and PCB teams, ensure UL/CE compliance, apply MATLAB/Simulink modeling, and mentor teammates while delivering reliable, manufacturable designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Master’s degree in power electronics strongly preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience in power electronics and control systems design.
• Solid understanding of high-frequency power stages, filtering, thermal management, and EMI/EMC considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full product development lifecycle from concept, architecture, and design through prototyping, validation, and productization.
• Design and develop next-generation power electronics using SiC/GaN MOSFETs for high-performance applications.
• Create and implement digital control algorithms for power converter systems.
• Collaborate with PCB layout and mechanical teams to ensure manufacturability and reliability.
• Achieve UL and CE compliance and lead EMC planning, testing, and mitigation.
