Job summary

Frontgrade Technologies seeks an Electronics Engineer III to design power electronics for DC/DC power conditioners and RF components. You will lead moderately complex tasks, develop standards, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a mission-critical environment.

Responsibilities include designing power supplies, EMI/EMC compliant solutions, and producing design packages and technical reports for internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• 5+ years of experience in a specialized functional discipline.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
• Experience with testing and test equipment for electronic boards/devices.

Responsibilities

• Design AC/DC & DC/DC power supplies and related hardware for RF amplifiers and systems.
• Develop and implement EMI/EMC compliant designs including EMI filters and shielding.
• Lead proposal generation in response to customer RFIs and RFQs with technical summaries, cost assessments, and schedules.
• Support customer visits to support new business.
• Perform research and analysis for new projects without oversight.
• Lead development of internal design packages and technical reports.
• Lead development of new hardware prototypes to confirm manufacturability and performance.
• Test a wide range of electronic boards/devices and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Provide mentoring to less experienced engineers.
