Job summary

Waséyabek Development Company is seeking a Project Engineer to lead technical execution across the full project lifecycle, from concept through prototyping and delivery. You will coordinate with engineering, test lab, manufacturing, and program management to meet government and customer requirements.

The role emphasizes propulsion/power systems, with comfort in structured program management, ITAR/EAR controls, and hands-on testing as designs move from lab to flight and field testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience managing scope, schedule, and risk on engineering programs.
• Knowledge of engineering analysis methods and hardware design decisions.
• Experience collaborating with manufacturing, quality, and suppliers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present status to stakeholders.
• Proficiency with CAD/PLM tools and MS Office/project tracking software.

Responsibilities

• Own technical scope, design intent, and configuration from concept to production release.
• Plan and direct analysis (thermal, structural, electrical) and test programs.
• Lead design reviews; track findings and ensure closure.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to ensure producibility and on-schedule delivery.
• Identify and drive resolution of technical risks and issues throughout the program.
• Interpret requirements and communicate status and trade-offs to management and customers.
• Support root-cause investigations and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Maintain design records, analysis reports, and change history per requirements.
• Support cost estimating, scheduling, and technical proposals for new work.
• Other duties as requested by management
