Job summary

GRAM is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for power electronics in San Francisco. You will own power conversion, distribution, switching, protection, and measurement from architecture through released hardware, including motor-drive electronics and EMI/thermal design.

You will ensure quantified envelopes, fault behavior, and validated performance in an on-site role. You will design, model, and validate switching converters, drive stages, and sensing networks while bringing hardware up with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience designing power-electronic hardware and switching converters.
• Strong understanding of MOSFET/GaN switching, sensing, protection, and thermal design.

Responsibilities

• Convert duty cycles into power budgets, transient requirements, and validation plans.
• Design and release switching power converters, motor-drive stages, and sensing circuits.
• Model switching behavior, losses, magnetics, and control-loop stability.
• Bring up hardware with scopes, probes, loads, and analyzers under fault conditions.
• Define interfaces across actuators, energy sources, and safety systems.
• Carry designs through layout review, fabrication, testing, and revision release.
