Job summary

Delta-Q Technologies in Minnesota seeks a Senior Power Electronics Engineer with deep expertise in switched-mode power conversion and battery charging applications. You will lead concepts through production, owning converter architectures and digital control systems in a hands-on, collaborative environment.

The role requires extensive experience with PFC, LLC, PSFB, flyback, and DC-DC designs, and you will mentor engineers while ensuring safety and EMI/EMC compliance across products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of hands-on industry experience in power electronics design and development.
• Experience with PFC, LLC, PSFB, flyback, and isolated DC-DC converters.
• Proficiency with LTspice, PLECS, PSIM, MATLAB/Simulink.
• Strong debugging, communication, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead power electronics projects from concept through production.
• Define requirements with Product Management and cross-functional teams.
• Own power converter architecture, topology selection, modeling, design reviews, and validation.
• Design AC-DC PFC, LLC, PSFB, flyback, and isolated DC-DC converter systems.
• Develop and optimize digital control algorithms; perform stability verification.
• Mentor engineers and drive knowledge sharing across teams.
• Support safety, EMI/EMC compliance and regulatory requirements.
