Job summary

Veridic Solutions LLC in Sterling, VA seeks a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to own the electrical design of high-current solid-state switching platforms powering mission-critical environments.

You will lead detailed schematic design for SCR/thyristor-based switching architectures, shaping protection strategies, fault response, and thermal performance at the system level while coordinating with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and compliance teams to deliver UL-certified power platforms.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in industrial power electronics design.
• SCR/thyristor-based solid-state switching systems expertise.
• Experience with UL requirements and NEC guidelines for low-voltage power equipment.
• Schematic design tool proficiency: Altium Designer or OrCAD.
• Experience reviewing PCB layouts in high-power applications.
