Job summary
TAE Technologies in Southern California is seeking an experienced power electronics design engineer to lead the design of high-current, high-voltage power supplies from concept to completion. You will model topologies, develop control algorithms, and ensure safe, reliable operation for fusion research applications.
Responsibilities include grid-connected system simulations, EMI/EMC considerations, and collaboration with vendors.
Qualifications
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in high- voltage/high-current power systems preferred.
- Knowledge of power electronics, modeling, and design optimization.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-current/high-voltage power supplies from concept to completion.
- Model power electronics system designs and topologies.
- Develop control and protection algorithms for loads and power supplies.
- Simulate grid-connected systems to meet Utility requirements.
- Ensure safety engineering for HV/HV power supplies.
- Liaise with vendors for equipment development and supply.
- Manage contracts through the project lifecycle.
