We are seeking an experienced power electronics engineer to own hardware design, lead bring-up and test, and troubleshoot complex issues across lab, production, and fielded units. The role requires independent work, strong communication, and a hands-on mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or higher.
• 8+ years of experience developing power electronics technologies.
• Excellent electronics design fundamentals; ability to take concept to schematic.
• Ownership of power electronics design projects.
• Circuit board design experience.
• Familiar with schematic capture and power converter modeling/simulation tools.
• Knowledge of power electronics control theory.
• Proficiency with EE tools (oscilloscopes, analyzers, signal generators).
• Experience with power semiconductor selection, gate drive, and protection circuitry.
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design custom power electronics hardware for the Linear Generator.
• Bring-up, validate, and qualify your power electronics designs.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues in test lab, production, and fielded units.
• Collaborate with NPI team and external suppliers to improve manufacturability and testability.
• Partner with reliability engineers to improve hardware reliability.
• Serve as an expert on owned hardware systems.
