Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA, is seeking a Sr. Power Electronics Engineer for Starship. You will rapidly develop high‑reliability electronics for rockets and spacecraft, lead trades, requirements, prototyping, bring‑up and test activities.

You will design DC‑DC converters and power distribution for harsh environments and work with cross‑functional teams to improve efficiency and reliability. A 5+ year electronics background and a Bachelor’s in EE are required; Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar discipline.
• 5+ years of experience designing, building, or testing circuit boards or other electronics.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly develop high‑reliability electronics for rockets and spacecraft.
• Drive system trades, requirements capture, component selection, analysis, schematic capture, prototyping, bring‑up, testing.
• Design, analyze, and test DC‑DC power converters and power distribution for harsh environments.
• Work on electrical power system and sub‑system level design trades and develop requirements.
• Collaborate with teams to improve efficiency, manufacturability, and reliability.
