Anduril Industries is seeking a Principal Power Controls Engineer to lead the development of advanced control algorithms for high-performance power electronics, including DC/DC converters, inverters, and motor drives built around SiC and GaN devices. You will own the control architecture while collaborating with hardware and firmware teams to deliver highly reliable, aerospace-grade systems.

You will leverage Simulink and PLECS, conduct model-based design, and drive hardware-in-the-loop

Competenze

• Experience designing digital control loops for multi-kW power converters (DC/DC, DC/AC, or motor drives).
• Strong background in z-domain/s-domain, bode analysis, state-space methods, and discrete-time implementations.
• Familiarity with SiC/GaN devices and high-reliability aerospace/defense environments.

Mansioni

• Design, simulate, and validate closed-loop control algorithms for switch-mode power converters and inverters using Simulink and/or PLECS.
• Develop plant models and controller architectures for multi-kW power stages with SiC/GaN FETs.
• Collaborate with power hardware and firmware teams on gate drive tuning and switching-loss characterization.
• Define and execute HIL and PHIL test plans to validate control performance.
