Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a BI Engineer III to join a growing client in the technology industry. This fully remote role targets a data professional with deep Power BI expertise and strong stakeholder engagement to independently design and deliver scalable reporting solutions from semantic models.

Responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders, building enterprise-grade dashboards, developing semantic models, and writing complex SQL to support analytics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in BI/Analytics with Power BI expertise.
• Strong SQL and semantic modeling skills.
• Proven ability to engage stakeholders and lead requirements sessions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and define KPIs.
• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Create and optimize semantic models and reporting frameworks for consistency and performance.
• Write and tune complex SQL queries to support reporting and analytics.
• Serve as BI SME, managing projects from requirements to deployment and adoption.
