Alcor Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Power BI Developer with a strong background in data visualization, analytics, and business intelligence. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience working with Power BI and should be comfortable translating complex data into actionable insights. Familiarity with integrations with current Cybersecurity solution is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop & Maintain Power BI Dashboards – Design, build, and maintain visually appealing, user-friendly, and interactive dashboards that provide actionable insights. Ensure scalability and responsiveness for different user needs.
• Advanced Data Analysis – Perform complex data analysis using SQL and Power BI to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive strategic business decisions. Apply statistical methods and predictive analytics where applicable.
• Stakeholder Collaboration – Engage closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and ensure solutions align with business goals.
• Data Integration & Modeling – Integrate and transform data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in data models that support reporting and analytics.
• Performance Optimization – Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for speed, usability, and efficiency, leveraging best practices in data modeling and visualization techniques.
• Security & Access Control – Implement complex security permissions, role-based access control (RBAC), and data protection strategies to ensure compliance and secure data usage.
• Data Governance & Compliance – Enforce best practices for data governance, regulatory compliance, and security (RLS) within Power BI environments.
• Process Documentation & Standardization – Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, methodologies, standards, and best practices to ensure continuity and efficiency in Power BI development.
• Agile Development – Work in Agile or Scrum environments, contributing to iterative development cycles and continuous improvement of BI solutions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, and Power BI development, with a strong focus on working with large datasets.
• Skilled in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data efficiently.
• Proven ability to design scalable data models, develop insightful dashboards, and provide actionable business intelligence through advanced analytics.

Technical Skills:

• Data Analysis & BI Tools: Expertise in Power BI, including dashboard creation, data visualization, and DAX.
• SQL & Complex Query Writing: Strong ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
• Data Modeling & ETL Processes: Experience designing scalable data models and working with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
• Big Data Handling: Familiarity with managing and analyzing large datasets using tools like Azure Synapse, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
• Cloud & Database Technologies: Proficiency in cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud), relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL), and NoSQL databases.
• Advanced Analytics & Statistical Methods: Understanding of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data science concepts.
• Programming & Scripting: Familiarity with Python, R, or other scripting languages for data processing and automation.
• Business & Data Visualization: Ability to translate complex data insights into business-friendly visualizations and reports.
• Data Governance & Security: Knowledge of data privacy regulations, governance practices, and security principles.
• Security Permissions & Access Control: Expertise in setting up and managing complex security permissions, role-based access control (RBAC), and data protection strategies to ensure secure and compliant data usage.

• Agile Development – Background in Agile or Scrum environments, collaborating effectively in fast-paced settings.
• Certifications – Microsoft certifications such as DA-100 / PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst) preferred.
