Job summary

Customertimes, headquartered in New York, is seeking a senior BI Developer to prototype, design, develop, and publish Power BI reports while building robust data models and translating business needs into technical specs. You will work with analysts to gather requirements and with data engineers to design data marts, ensuring secure, scalable dashboards across the organization.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in CS/IT, 5+ years in reporting and dashboard development, 2+ years with Power BI,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in reporting and dashboard development.
• 2+ years of reporting and analytics using Power BI.
• Excellent knowledge of M Query, DAX, data modeling, and RLS.
• Understanding of data warehouse, data lake, and ETL concepts.
• Mastery of SQL.
• Experience with data warehouses, data lakes, and enterprise big data platforms.
• Hands-on experience delivering finance reporting and BI solutions for finance stakeholders.
• Advanced level of English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a global company with colleagues from many countries and cultures.
• Good communication and persuasion skills.
• Ability to lead conversations with both technical and business representatives.
• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of an international project team.

Responsibilities

• Prototype, design, develop, and publish Power BI reports.
• Develop Power BI data models and recommend best practices for report creation and visualizations.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to gather business requirements for analytics and reporting.
• Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to create data mart designs.
• Troubleshoot reporting issues and tune report performance.
• Implement security in reports and dashboards.
• Build and modify tables and views, and optimize SQL queries and indexes as needed.
• Implement security on developed dashboards in accordance with security and access requirements.
• Create technical documentation for the BI solution.
