Job summary

KANINI is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to join our BI/Data Analytics team in Nashville, TN, focused on a large-scale enterprise semantic model built on Microsoft Fabric and Snowflake. You will optimize performance, model design, and scalable report development across sales, labor, attendance, and financial reconciliation.

You will design semantic models with PBIP/TMDL, develop DAX measures, and collaborate with data engineering on Snowflake/dbt pipelines.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on Power BI experience (Desktop, Service, Premium/Fabric).
• Strong proficiency in DAX and Power Query (M).
• Deep understanding of semantic model design and performance tuning.
• Experience with incremental refresh and large fact tables.
• Experience with Snowflake and dbt for data transformations.
• Git-based Power BI development with PBIP/TMDL.
• Familiar with PowerShell and Power BI REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI semantic models using TMDL and PBIP.
• Develop and optimize DAX measures, columns, hierarchies, and relationships.
• Implement incremental refresh policies for large historical datasets.
• Diagnose refresh failures and performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with data engineering on Snowflake/dbt pipelines.
• Manage deployments across DEV/PROD workspaces with Git.
• Use PowerShell and REST APIs to automate refresh operations.
• Perform root-cause analysis on data discrepancies and reporting issues.
