Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company seeks an innovative scientist to lead development and commercialization of advanced powder coating technologies for high-speed coil coating lines. You will drive research, formulation, scale-up, and manufacturing integration, acting as the SME in powder chemistry and processing.

Role requires deep polymer/coating science expertise, project leadership, and collaboration across R&D, manufacturing, and commercial teams to deliver high-performance coating solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Science/Engineering required.
Minimum 5+ years in coatings, formulation, and process optimization.
Hands-on experience with powder coatings lab work (thermoset and thermoplastic).
Knowledge of DSC, TGA, rheology, spectroscopy and QA/failure analysis.

Responsibilities

Lead R&D, design, and commercialization of advanced powder coatings for high‑speed coil lines.
Develop roadmaps, scale‑up, and manufacturing integration for new systems.
Collaborate across R&D, manufacturing, engineering, and commercial teams.
