Job summary

Silverlink Technologies in Denver, CO, is seeking an experienced Database Administrator for a long-term contract. The role covers PostgreSQL, YugabyteDB, SQL Server and cloud-native databases with 24x7 production support.

You will install, configure, upgrade, monitor, and optimize databases, implement backup/recovery, high availability, and work with AWS/GCP DevOps tooling. Weekend/on-call rotation is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on DBA experience across PostgreSQL, YugabyteDB, SQL Server, and cloud-native databases.
• Experience with installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, monitoring, backup/recovery, replication, and HA.
• Strong troubleshooting for performance, latency, availability, reliability.
• Automation/DevOps experience: Python, Unix shell, Ansible, Terraform, GitHub, CI/CD.
• Hands-on with AWS and/or GCP database services; IaC, monitoring/observability tools.
• Experience with data ingestion, ETL/ELT, data pipelines.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes: Incident, Problem, Change, DR, RCA.
• Willingness for rotational weekend/off-hours support.
• Excellent communication, ownership, collaboration in 24x7 production environment.
