Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in database administration.
• 5+ years of hands-on PostgreSQL experience, incl. production clusters.
• 2+ years administering MongoDB in production.
• Experience with high-availability, failover and DR planning.
• Linux administration experience with networking and storage troubleshooting.
• Automation with Ansible and IaC tools.
• Experience with Terraform/OpenTofu or similar such as Puppet/Chef.
• English at upper-intermediate level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Operate and improve production PostgreSQL clusters with HA, replication, failover and upgrades.
• Tune PostgreSQL performance across queries, indexes, locks, vacuum and capacity.
• Manage backups, point-in-time recovery and regular restore testing.
• Support MongoDB and Redis in production; troubleshoot incidents and access/data-safety changes.
• Learn ClickHouse and share ownership of day-to-day operations.
• Automate routine DBA tasks using Ansible, Terraform/OpenTofu, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Build self-service capabilities for database provisioning and credentials.
• Maintain observability through dashboards, metrics, SLOs and alerts.
