Job summary

Responsibilities include designing PostgreSQL architectures on AWS RDS/Aurora, tuning performance, managing backups and failover, and automating reliability workflows. Strong collaboration with teams and thorough documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong PostgreSQL expertise with performance tuning, indexing, and partitioning.
• Experience designing highly available architectures using AWS RDS/Aurora.
• Knowledge of backup, replication, failover, and disaster recovery workflows.
• Experience with large-scale cloud databases and monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage highly available PostgreSQL architectures using AWS RDS and Aurora.
• Optimize queries, indexes, partitioning, and database performance.
• Manage backup, replication, recovery, and failover processes.
• Troubleshoot slow queries, locks, deadlocks, and database bottlenecks.
• Automate database maintenance and reliability workflows.
• Support data migrations, application scaling, and operational improvements.
• Maintain clear technical documentation.
