micro1 is seeking a Senior Database Reliability Engineer to architect, optimize, and ensure the stability of PostgreSQL environments in a cloud-native setup. You will drive reliability, high availability, and performance at scale across AWS RDS and Aurora PostgreSQL, collaborating with a remote team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in production.
• Expert-level PostgreSQL internals, tuning, partitioning, and replication.
• Hands-on experience with AWS RDS and Aurora PostgreSQL including backups and high availability.
• Strong analytical abilities for troubleshooting slow queries, execution plans, locks, and deadlocks.
• Experience maintaining large-scale, high-traffic databases with millions of rows.
• Clear, proactive written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote team.

Responsabilités

• Design, implement, and manage highly available, resilient PostgreSQL architectures on AWS.
• Analyze query execution plans, tune indexes, and implement advanced partitioning strategies.
• Ensure disaster recovery with robust backup, replication, and failover processes.
• Diagnose and resolve slow queries, locks, deadlocks, and bottlenecks in large databases.
• Automate routine maintenance tasks and promote operational excellence across environments.
