Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Ports and Marine Senior Lead Engineer/Project Manager to lead design and analysis for marine and upland port components. You will independently supervise berthing and mooring analyses and develop plans, specs, schedules and cost estimates for Navy and port projects.

You should bring 10+ years in port structures analysis/design, a PE license, and excellent communication skills. Experience with UFC/PIANC/ASCE-61 is preferred; travel and location flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in analysis and design of port structures.
• Professional Engineer Licenses.
• Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proven safety compliance track record.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform and supervise structural analysis and design for marine and upland components.
• Independently perform and supervise berthing and mooring analyses.
• Lead development of plans, specifications, schedules and cost estimates for port and Navy projects.
• Understand maritime codes and references including UFC, PIANC, ASCE-61.
• Independently prepare basis of design, design calculations, technical reports, alternatives analysis, and study reports.
• Understand interdisciplinary requirements for port projects and QA/QC reviews.
• Attend client meetings and perform site visits.
• Mentor developing port and maritime engineers.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
