Job summary

Jacobs, a leader in Ports & Maritime project delivery, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to advance electrification and decarbonization of marine terminals and related facilities. You will design electrical systems, review plans, and collaborate with engineers, planners, and project managers across Jacobs' global network.

You will contribute to proposals, studies, and pursuits, mentor junior staff, and travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and PE license.
15+ years electrical engineering and design experience.
Experience coordinating design within multidisciplinary teams.
Strong communication and ability to work in-person and remote environments.
Willingness to travel to project sites and client offices.
Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, NEMA and related standards.
Experience in low- and medium-voltage distribution, grounding, and lighting.
Experience with power-system studies and analyses.
Experience with grounding and lightning protection systems.
Experience with indoor and outdoor lighting systems.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review electrical design drawings, memos, specs, reports.
Apply knowledge of LV/MV distribution, grounding, lighting, and power system design.
Perform power-system studies, electrical analyses, and evaluations.
Support project planning, design development, and construction-phase services.
Assist in proposal development with technical approaches and scope.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Engage with Ports & Maritime professionals and Global Delivery Center teams.
Mentor junior engineers and technicians while growing own expertise.
